Potassium nitrate is applied directly to the soil and is used for foliar feeding, as well as for the preparation of water-soluble complex fertilizers. The target crops for the component are vegetables, fruits and flowers that are particularly sensitive to chlorine. It contains two main plant nutrients at once: nitrogen and potassium. But the main advantage is the almost complete absence of chlorine.
